Description de posteValid Class 5 license with a clean driving record and at least 5 years of driving experience Comfortable driving large 5-ton box trucks (32 feet in length) Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs Must have strong attention to detail Enjoy working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to excel in a self-directed work environment Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills Knowledge of musical equipment is an asset.
Job Description
- This role includes duties as both a warehouse associate, as well as a delivery driver.
- Conduct pre-trip safety inspections of the vehicle before operation.
- Deliver product to customers on assigned routes using Long & McQuade trucks.
- Unload goods as per customer specifications
- Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
- Distribute received shipments to respective departments within the warehouse
- Pick orders and process outgoing shipments to retailers, customers, and suppliers.
- Maintain shipping logs and properly file all paperwork
- Pack and unpack goods for shipping and receiving
- Use of forklifts, pallet trucks and shipping carts
- This is a physical job that requires lifting and moving merchandise for the duration of a shift.
