Ensure service reliability and uptime in production and test environments
Be on-call and provide 3rd-level troubleshooting support when required
Monitor the uptime and performance of production systems
Execute common system administration tasks such as applying patches, generating reports, and performing some database administration tasks
Occasionally, help improve tools to reduce repetitive work and improve consistency
What you must have:
3+ years’ experience in production operations, SRE, or a similar role
Understanding of software systems concepts such as networking, firewalls, protocols, and databases
Experience With:
Linux Teams: Linux (CentOS preferred), Bash, Maven/Gradle
Windows Teams: Windows, PowerShell, NuGet
RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MS SQL, Cassandra
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible or Puppet
Containerization/Virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes
Load balancing tools such as HA-Proxy, Nginx, or F5
Additional Assets:
Experience with any of the following: Cassandra, Zookeeper, Hadoop, Kafka, MS SQL, or MongoDB
Experience leading or mentoring others
Understanding of software delivery practices such as feature toggling or no-downtime deployments
Salary/Rate Range: $65,000 - $130,000 CAD
