Wiz Plus Properties is a growing construction company specializing in custom homes, residential renovations, and commercial tenant improvements. We are committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and take pride in every detail. We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Finishing Carpenter to join our team.About the RoleAs a Lead Finishing Carpenter, you will oversee finish carpentry work on residential and commercial projects while leading a small crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to manage work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise finish carpentry crews on-site.
  • Install baseboards, casings, trim, doors, crown moulding, cabinetry, hardware, and custom millwork.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate daily tasks with the Project Manager and other trades.
  • Ensure work is completed on schedule and meets company quality standards.
  • Train and mentor apprentice and junior carpenters.
  • Perform final quality inspections, touch-ups, and adjustments.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
  • Plan material requirements and communicate any shortages or issues.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of carpentry experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
  • Strong finish carpentry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with custom homes and commercial tenant improvements.
  • Ability to lead a crew and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have a cell phone for communication.
  • Own a complete set of carpentry tools.
