Qualifications Required Valid BC Trailer Mechanic certification, Red Seal Certification, CVSE/CVIP Certification, or a combination of these credentials Strong diagnostic and repair experience on commercial trailers High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship Assets Red Seal Endorsement CVSE/CVIP Certification Experience working with refrigerated trailers (reefers) Welding and fabrication experience Experience with fleet maintenance software Not fully certified yet? Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair commercial trailers and related systems Troubleshoot electrical, brake, suspension, landing gear, and air systems Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections Complete and maintain CVIP inspections and maintenance records Diagnose and repair refrigeration-related trailer components where applicable Repair body damage and replace trailer components as required Maintain accurate repair records using computer software Monitor and manage shop inventory as required Maintain company equipment and tools in safe working condition Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections Report safety concerns and repair requirements to the Shop Supervisor Follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintain professional and respectful communication with drivers, supervisors, and team members Equipment You'll Work On Dry Van Trailers Refrigerated (Reefer) Trailers Coupling and Hitch Systems Tires, Wheels, Hubs, and Axles Brake and Suspension Systems Electrical Systems Heating and Refrigeration Systems You will work with a well-maintained fleet of more than 200 trailers, providing a diverse and challenging work environment.
