What you can expect when joining the team
Reporting to the Vice President of Legal Affairs, you will act as an advisor for all legal and regulatory compliance issues of the company. You will be responsible for negotiating various agreements and ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations to which the company is subject in the context of our nationwide operations.
Your daily life
In your day to day, you will be led to :
- Advise and support members of various departments in contractual and business relations, as well as in the sound management of regulatory risks for which they are responsible;
- Advise and lead different areas of the company in legislative, legal, privacy protection, and intellectual property matters;
- Assess legal risks in commercial transactions and propose risk mitigation alternatives;
- Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements within the organization;
- Participate in tender processes;
- Participate in various transactional projects;
- Participate in maintaining controls and audits related to compliance frameworks concerning personal data and company data protection;
- Actively participate in the implementation of various compliance programs, the preparation of necessary documentation, and the maintenance of associated records;
- Support the Privacy Officer and guide the organization towards best practices in this area, in accordance with Quebec, Canadian, and international standards;
- Ensure legislative monitoring to inform and support stakeholders who may be impacted;
- Ensure the protection of the company's technological assets;
- Communicate and collaborate with all team members to ensure optimal alignment on the company's opportunities and priorities.
