Location : Various locations across Alberta
As Legal Counsel / General Counsel, you will provide comprehensive legal advice to a corporation, ensuring all business activities are compliant with legal standards. You will oversee legal operations, manage external counsel, and address a wide range of legal matters, from contracts to regulatory issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business strategy.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Manage litigation, disputes, and other legal proceedings involving the company.
- Oversee the company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Work closely with senior management to identify and mitigate legal risks.
Requirements

Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Membership in good standing with the provincial Bar. 5+ years of experience in corporate law, preferably in an in-house counsel role. Strong knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, and business law. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
