GardaWorld is hiring Casual and Part Time Security Guards in Edmonton and surrounding areas. As a GardaWorld team member, your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of client assets, tenants, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.

What is a Casual Security Guard?

Casual Security Guards adapt to various sites and work environments, gaining diverse experiences. One week you may work at an office tower, and the next at a community college, retail mall, or condominium. Hours are flexible, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week.

Who You Are :

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Calm under pressure and service oriented
  • Skilled in report writing and incident investigations
  • Adaptable to different settings and able to work shifts 4–12 hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and winter periods
  • Customer focused with excellent hospitality skills
  • What Does an Casual Security Guard Do?

    Your responsibilities will vary based on the assigned site but may include :

  • Conducting routine patrols (interior, exterior, and parkades)
  • Professionally interacting with clients, customers, and visitors to resolve disputes
  • Enforcing site specific rules, such as access control, ID verification, and restricted area protocols
  • Maintaining a safe environment for yourself, clients, and the public
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Valid Alberta Security Guard license
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficiency with apps and technology
  • Criminal Justice or Police Foundations Diploma is an asset
  • SSEDM
