Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe. The discussed salary for this position is $50,000 – $70,000 plus a BONUS structure. Our client is a leading construction company currently hiring a Junior Estimator to join their team. The Junior Estimator will aid in preparing quantity takeoffs, sourcing quotations from suppliers, examining tender documents and assessing projects up for bid.
Junior Estimator responsibilities :
- Prepare, manage, and lead all operational accounting functions
- Oversee Generate quantity takeoffs from drawings
- Perform system checks.
- Conduct thorough reviews of specifications, scopes of work, drawings, and schedules.
- Confirm thorough review of all addenda, tender clarifications, and scopes of work.
- Request supplier pricing before the closing date.
- Identify any products necessitating architectural approval to bid.
- Summarize tenders / quotations, specifying inclusions, exclusions, and tender notes.
- Arrange quotes, tender requirements, bonding, and bid forms.
- Compile cost reports and arrange estimates for turnover meetings with other departments.
- Undertake any other related duties / projects as needed.
