YOUR ROLE

The Kruger Kamloops Pulp Mill is recruiting for Jr. Mill Operator positions for our four main Operations departments : Chip Yard, Fibreline, Machine Room, and Power & Recovery. Jr. Mill Operator employees start in the labour pool and will be placed in a department based on current need. Employees can then use their seniority to bid into a department and train up the line of progression. New employees start with a three‑day orientation and are provided extensive safety and job‑specific training. Schedules are typically 12‑hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off rotation – two day shifts, followed by two night shifts, and then four days off. The starting wage is $36.11 per hour with opportunities to develop new skills and increase wages by moving up departmental lines of progression. This permanent full‑time position involves shift work, manual labour, and equipment operation. This posting will be used in rotation until the end of the year, and candidates will be selected from the pool of applicants when Jr. Mill Operator positions become available. • Equipment operation involving a vacuum truck, forklift, front‑end loader, etc.
• Area clean‑up
• Loading bales of pulp into warehouse and railcars
• Process testing
• Ensuring processes and equipment run safely
