The ideal candidate will maintain, repair and assemble a wide variety of mechanical products such as mud motors, drilling jars and shock tools.This role plays an essential part in ensuring a high level of quality and reliability of field assets and significantly reducing the risk of field failures.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Maintain, repair and assemble prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products using hand and power tools
• Complete a wide variety of maintenance and repair activities and ensure equipment performs to a very high standard
• Review work orders and equipment requisition details to ensure quality standards are met
• Track, report and keep documentation on tools, equipment, parts inventory, recurring issues / problems and regular maintenance activities
• Keep work area and shop clean, organized, efficient with a focus on maintaining high safety standards
• Assist with basic training on general maintenance activities, repair and assembly of downhole tools for more junior personnel
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality control / assurance, pride of workmanship and reduced field failures
