Job Summary

Our Business Solutions Team requires a customer focused and technically detailed individual to join the team as an ERP System Developer, in our Steinbach Office. The primary responsibility of this role is to work within our Epicor ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning Software) environment to support data integrity, reporting needs, and to develop and implement software customizations to boost efficiency, functionality, and security in line with business needs. You will work as part of our Business Solutions Team to improve business processes across Barkman Concrete.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting ERP system problems
  • Managing data interfaces to and from other systems
  • Developing ERP Software Customizations, Business Process Automations, dashboards, and reports as requested
  • Working in our BI (Business Intelligence) platform to manage ERP data connections and objects, and to develop comprehensive data visualizations and reporting for business users
  • Creating custom SQL Queries for troubleshooting, custom reporting, and analysis
  • Working with and extending system and custom data objects, tables, and fields as necessary
  • Assisting business users with system training needs
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written and personal presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal customers, on a professional level, to provide assistance in troubleshooting issues and discussing possible solutions
  • Ability to communicate in a manner that summarizes and explains complex technical issues to non-technical team members
  • Ability to mentor inexperienced users, while maintaining a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor
  • Experience with software development, customizations, and integration in a business environment
  • A strong grasp of SQL and database manipulation in a business environment
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards for business users
  • Prior experience with Epicor, or C#, Java, REST, and SSRS Reports would be an advantage
  • Prior experience in Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or Data Analysis roles would be an advantage
  • Ability to learn new software programs or languages either through self-study or continuing education
