Job Responsibilities :
Provide professional level supervision and endorsement for the timber development and silviculture
Safety and environmental performance, compliance monitoring and implementation
Quality control and implementation
Review and approval of professional documentation related to timber development and silviculture
Stakeholder and client engagement
Provide advice regarding vegetation management, silviculture and related areas
Prepare site plans and cutting / road permits, process field data, and organize deliverables
Primary intermediary between GIS and clients
Qualifications :
Registered Professional Forester (British Columbia)
Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management
5+ years’ experience in a similar position
Associated forestry field experience is an asset
Comprehensive understanding of British Columbia Forest Management and Land Use Planning, B.C. General Appraisal System, cutting and road permit acquisition process
Ability to mentor junior RPF’s and other junior Forest Professionals
Valid Class 5 Drivers’ License
