Job Summary
The Team
The Interior-East Kootenay Resource and Out of Care Team is a highly collaborative and experienced group of professionals dedicated to supporting foster caregivers, out-of-care homes, and staffed resources across a large geographical area. With four Resource Workers, one Out of Care Worker and a Team Leader, they work closely with contracted agencies, the Ministry Child Protection team, community supports, Indigenous Delegated Agencies, and CYSN Respite Homes to ensure children and youth have a safe, caring home. This team embraces creative teamwork to support each other and share across multiple communities.
The Role
The Resource Worker recruits, assesses, and supports caregivers, including foster parents, out-of-care providers, and staffed homes, and manages the related contracts and financial agreements. You will also provide direct support for the Out Of Care portfolio as needed and support the transition to Specialized Homes and Support Services (SHSS). In this role you will collaborate with families, caregivers, and community partners to help children thrive in their own communities and ensure safe, stable, and caring home environments. This is a fulfilling opportunity to nurture strong established relationships and work alongside dedicated teams to support child safety and well-being in your community.
