Our financial services client is seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering (10+ years) to deliver quality outcomes across complex business workstreams using automation, API-first testing, and CI/CD integration

Join a high-impact team advancing modern quality engineering practices across large-scale enterprise platforms. This leadership role owns end-to-end quality outcomes—spanning release readiness, risk visibility, and stakeholder alignment—while leading QE Leads and SDETs through deep technical and delivery accountability. The position offers strategic oversight of automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD integration within a mature financial services environment.

Permanent, % Remote (ON or AB), Working Hours: PST

Must Haves

  • 12+ years in software engineering, quality engineering, or related technical disciplines
  • Leadership over teams of QE Leads and SDETs managing delivery execution and quality outcomes
  • Expertise in automation frameworks, API-first testing, and CI/CD integration across enterprise systems
  • Advanced programming capabilities in Python, JavaScript, C#, or Java supporting code review and design decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-powered testing using LLMs or spec-driven automation
  • Exposure to cloud-native distributed environments (AWS or Azure)
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Postman
  • Background in performance and reliability validation within financial platforms

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end quality delivery for assigned business workstreams
  • Drive release readiness, risk assessment, and quality visibility for stakeholder decisions
  • Define and enforce operational QE models including automation coverage and CI/CD integration
  • Lead teams of QE Leads and SDETs across delivery, people management, and technical execution
  • Establish adoption of API-first, automation-first testing strategies integrated with delivery architecture
  • Align quality engineering execution with product, engineering, and delivery leadership priorities
  • Ensure measurable outcomes in efficiency, defect reduction, and release predictability
