Position: Kubernetes Engineer
Location: Oshawa, ON (hybrid 3 days remote)
Structure: Contract 12 months to start
Pay: $88.00 - $96.00 p/h inc. + HST

We have a great new opportunity to support one of our Energy Sector clients in a contract capacity!

Deliverables

  • Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes, container orchestration, and platform-as-a-service components across scalable environments.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code modules and automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration using DevOps and GitOps practices.
  • Build secure, resilient, and highly available cloud environments, incorporating software-defined networking, service mesh, and hardened security controls.
  • Monitor, optimize, and maintain performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance and governance standards are met.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience designing and managing cloud-native infrastructure using platforms provided by Microsoft, with strong expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi and automation using DevOps tools.
  • Experience with service mesh and networking technologies such as Istio and Envoy, along with secure infrastructure practices (RBAC, secrets management, encryption).
  • Strong understanding of GitOps concepts and tools such as Argo CD or Flux, and experience with CI/CD platforms like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
  • Programming experience in languages such as .NET, Node.js, or Java, along with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python, and strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
