Job Title: Java Software Engineer (6 Positions Available)
Location: Markham, Ontario
Type: Permanent, full time position

They are currently looking for a highly motivated Java Developers to join their R & D team in Markham, Ontario. They offer a fast-paced, innovative environment that will challenge your business acumen and tune your technical aptitude. This is a great opportunity for a young, energetic and highly motivated Java Developer (or Java development focused recent University graduate) to join a cutting edge organization and grow with the team!
The Role (Within the first 3 months):
-Contribute to the organizations business initiatives by supporting team members with the following activities:
-Within the first 3 months, design, prototype, implement and deploy one or more core platform services.
-Develop an early understanding of the product, documenting design and code details and participating in peer code reviews.
-Write maintainable code with extensive test coverage, working in a professional software engineering environment
-Collaborate across the company to define, design and build new features.
-Tackle complex problems in distributed computing, performance and more.
Skills and Experience:
-Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
-Strong background in networking, operating systems, and security
-Minimum of 1 years of engineering experience with Java and overall software development experience
-Knowledge of (UIT) unit and integration testing methodologies
-Highly motivated with good communications and organization skills
-Experienced working with traditional RDBMS databases
-Experienced at contributing to OpenSource software projects
-Experienced working with PostgreSQL
Nice to Haves:
-Experience with GWT (Google Web Toolkit)
-Experience with Maven (A build/project management tool) and GIT (A distributed version control system used by programmers).
-Experience with Cloud based services
