Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Solution Architect to join an enterprise retail company hybrid out of Vancouver. The successful candidate will join the Global Supply Chain portfolio responsible for upstream supply chain. Primary duties and responsibilities will include : Solution / system Design of System architecture and roadmap. Serves as primary technical solution design architect for one or more teams and their systems and integrations. Design and document re-usable and scalable frameworks and components. Provide first level effort and cost assessments to departmental initiatives. Coordinate & collaborate with counterparts in other departments to ensure technology solutions are built for the enterprise. Assist management in making technology decisions by weighing in on risk and ROI. Participate and contribute to yearly strategic initiative planning and funding discussions. Collaborate with Product Management, Domain Architects and Lead Engineer to bring projects from concept to implementation. Serves as primary decision escalation resource for addressing architecture and integration issues affecting their team. Continuously drive improvements in areas like performance, security, automation, quality, monitoring, and reliability of platforms. Develops and maintains current and future-state architecture models and ensures all documentation is kept up to date. Keeps up with industry best practices, technologies, architectures, trends, emerging technologies and develop proof of concept projects to validate new ideas.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of experience as a Solution Architect Industry experience in Retail / Supply chain, familiar with application systems
- Experience solutioning end-to-end full-stack applications, integration of SaaS and PaaS systems
- Experience with Java, Angular, MongoDB, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS cloud
- Experience working in an Agile environment
