Description de posteReview and professionally stamp electrical designs for projects of all sizes and complexities. Lead electrical design strategies and concepts for complex projects, including : Power distribution and generation systems Indoor / outdoor lighting and lighting controls Fire alarm systems Voice / data communications, security / CCTV, public address, nurse call, and related low-voltage infrastructure Provide technical leadership and guidance to the electrical engineering team. Lead audits, feasibility studies, and investigations, and prepare detailed technical reports. Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of electrical design standards, processes, and best practices. Mentor and support intermediate and junior engineers and designers, fostering professional growth within the team. Troubleshoot construction challenges and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions. Coordinate with clients, contractors, sales representatives, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clear communication and accurate project documentation. Participate in site reviews, construction phase services, and field assessments. Perform additional related duties as required. Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering. P. Eng designation is required for this position. A minimum of 10 years of progressive, relevant work experience 5 or more years of design experience for complex fire alarm and electrical systems in a variety of industry sectors including multi-unit residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and institutional. Substantial exposure to troubleshooting on-site control issues Medium and / or high voltage system design experience is an asset but not required Extensive knowledge of codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards. Design experience across multiple industries, including commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, and government Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to work collaboratively and strategically with internal and external partners. A proven ability to multitask and deliver quality work within defined deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to success in this role, as well as strong decision-making skills.
