Job Description

  • The mandate is looking for a senior developer with 12 years of experience who can jump right in on existing Java, Spring, and AWS code to tackle technical debt and fix vulnerabilities, rather than someone focused on developing new features.
  • The Mythos context and repeated mentions of security posture, vulnerability management, and technological upgrade point to a role centered on actively modernizing an existing application portfolio, not just a standard maintenance job.
  • The note about AI-assisted development practices, while not a dealbreaker, makes it clear the client is interested in candidates comfortable using these tools in a secure development setting.
  • The profile combines precise technical expertise (Java, Spring, AWS, microservices, distributed or event-driven architecture) with the ability to shape an automated testing strategy, setting it apart from a regular generalist application developer.



Requirements

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in software development, including enterprise application modernization
  • Excellent proficiency in Java
  • Significant experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security)
  • Significant experience in API development and microservices architectures
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including managed services and serverless technologies
  • Experience with distributed or event-driven solutions
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
  • Implementation of an automated testing strategy (unit, integration, regression, and UI testing)
  • Experience in reducing technical debt and modernizing applications
  • Experience in vulnerability management and secure software development
  • Proficiency in French, both written and spoken

PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development practices in a secure environment
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

ASSET / NICE-TO-HAVE

  • No distinct nice-to-have criteria were identified in the provided description

  • Less than 12 years of experience in software development.
  • No hands-on experience modernizing existing applications, only developing new features.
  • No practical experience with AWS, only theoretical knowledge.
  • No experience with the Spring ecosystem.
  • No experience in automated testing or continuous integration.
  • Profile focused on organizational architecture without direct coding involvement (should be redirected to the solutions architect position in the set of 5 requests).
