What Youll Do

Conduct policy research analyze data and create maps using GIS to support planning initiatives.

Assist in public stakeholder and Indigenous engagement efforts by designing materials and participating in community meetings.

Help prepare planning reports such as Official Plans Zoning By-law Amendments and site plans.

Work alongside engineers architects and environmental specialists on integrated projects.

Prepare graphics presentations and technical memos for clients and stakeholders to communicate planning solutions effectively.

Qualifications : Minimum Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelors degree or higher in Planning Engineering Humanities or a related field with the intent to continue pursuing studies after the internship unless graduating.

Candidates must have completed two (2) years of study in their program.

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to various communities for face-to-face engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to those pursuing a masters degree in a related field.

What Were Looking For

Someone curious adaptable and eager to handle a diverse range of projects.

Strong communication skills with a knack for visual storytelling.

Experience with GIS is beneficial.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is also beneficial.

An interest in Indigenous-led community planning is a bonus.

Additional Information :

Relocation is not available for this position.
