Director of IT Operations - Security and Infrastructure

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical / surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing / logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.

With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social, and economic best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Director of IT Operations - Infrastructure and Security to support our IT team.

Position Overview

This role will be reporting to the CFO / CIO, and will be responsible for MMC's internal IT environment, and the IT environments for IT Services provided to our member hospitals, our Services desks serving both member and internal users, application security, change management and managing the IT Security Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate, often lead, a continuous cycle of technical projects for internal MMC IT ecosystem, and for the external clients.
• Manage MSP's and hold them accountable for Service delivery SLA's, KPI's, and contract terms.
• Frequent site visits with member hospitals, integrators / vendors, and various MMC sites
• Key contributor to our ERP modernization roadmap with vendor, internal project partners, and external members
• Manage the Service desk and managing major events and incidents.
• Continually optimize operating expense and invested capital. Improve the operating cost structure, and financial performance.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in managing and overseeing various IT platforms, including PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service).

Technical Requirements

Deep understanding of network security principles and secure system architecture.

Travel

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Human Resources.
