We pair engineering and manufacturing capabilities to deliver tailored solutions for our clients.  Learn more about OCL here : www.oclgroup.ca The Role We are currently looking for a 3rd year or Journeyman Welder  with flux core experience for our fabrication shop located just NE of Fort Saskatchewan, AB . The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm. Future project requirements may require additional overtime, work on weekends and work on project sites. Compensation / Benefits 3rd year rate is 90% of Journeyperson wage which is $38.00 per hour. Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours per day. 6% vacation pay and  4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours. Maintain equipment. Read blueprints and specifications. Fuse metal components using the FCAW (flux core) process Grind, stamp, cut and drill material Maintain shop cleanliness. Other duties as assigned Key Skills / Competencies Must have flux core welding experience Reliable with a strong work ethic Good attention to detail  Ability to work independently and as part of a team Versatile and flexible - able to work in the field or on a project as needed A motivated, self-starter Eager to learn, develop and grow Takes pride in their workmanship; aims for a zero repair rate Takes pride in safety, document control, lock-up procedures & preventative maintenance Excellent english communication skills required Able to follow directions Performs well under pressure and tight deadlines Experience / Education / Qualifications Certified Journeyman and / or Registered 3rd Year Apprentice Welder  Must have previous experience with flux core  FCAW ticket (if no ticket, you will be required to take a FCAW onsite weld test and pass before hire) Must have previous experience in a similar setting and industry CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS2015) May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sites May need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sites Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work OCL Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
