Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure - ( 230004V9 )
Description
Many of the world’s top engineers and scientists come together in our Water business because they view a community’s interaction with water as a holistic system, rather than unconnected networks divided by jurisdictional boundaries. We work throughout the hydrologic cycle, delivering sustainable solutions to ensure water is where it should be and available when needed. Our experts guide our work with scientific rigor, innovation, and growth vision. We help communities improve, reuse, and protect this precious resource for future generations. Grow with us, H2O+U.
Your Opportunity
The Project Manager will work independently or as part of a team on small to large civil infrastructure projects, involved in planning, design, construction, and commissioning. Tasks include calculations, fieldwork, task and personnel coordination, and mentoring junior staff. Projects may have complex features requiring mature knowledge and experience. You will manage projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
This position is based in our offices in London, Windsor, and Waterloo, with opportunities to work on projects across southwestern Ontario.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design of sanitary, storm, watermain projects, overland flow / civil site plans, and sewer rehabilitation projects.
- Oversee and manage multiple projects, including high-complexity projects.
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record if applicable.
- Provide technical leadership, manage client relationships, and develop new clients.
- Guide team members on complex projects, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Supervise engineers and designers, setting priorities, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor project financial performance and assist with proposals and negotiations.
- Evaluate and specify civil systems and products.
- Lead project coordination meetings and client requirement discussions.
- Participate in constructability reviews, quality assurance, and quality control.
- Serve as the project’s point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Stay current with regulatory policies and establish relationships with officials.
- Develop project scope, budgets, design approaches, and support marketing efforts.
