We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a long-term engagement starting July 2nd (approximately 1 year / 1800 hours). The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP development (15+ years), including strong proficiency in ABAP OO, debugging, and SAP HANA performance optimization techniques such as code pushdown, SQL tuning, and runtime optimization of custom programs. This role requires a proven technical leader with experience in development leadership, including code reviews (system and manual), enforcement of Clean Core principles, and adherence to SAP best practices, along with strong capability in risk assessment, mitigation, and delivery support.
The role also demands extensive experience across modern SAP landscapes, including S/4HANA (on-prem or private cloud) implementations or conversions, SAP Integration Suite (A2A, B2B, hybrid integrations), RAP-based development, ABAP CDS Views (data modeling, REST services, embedded analytics), SAP extensibility (in-app, Clean Core-aligned), and SAP Fiori/UI5 development (Fiori Elements, freestyle UI5, backend/UI integration). The successful candidate will also bring strong experience in Agile delivery (Azure DevOps), delivery governance and QA, and a solid understanding of SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Additional requirements include a 3-year post-secondary degree or diploma (or equivalent), at least one valid SAP certification (required with proof), and recent SAP or related professional development (last 3 years).
