About the Company

Our client is a private FinTech software company providing financial services application platforms to clients in North America. We are hiring a Technology Director for a full-time position in Markham, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

This role will be managing various internal teams :

• IT Infrastructure for internal corporate systems, cybersecurity / SOC (Manager of Infrastructure in place)

IT hosting infrastructure for the company's software product (on-prem and cloud)

Agile Software / Product application development (java / php / aws / .net) for commercial software platform for external corporate clients - including QA / devops / etc. (Dev Leads in place)

Data / BI (Manager of Data / BI in place)

The focus of the role will be on managing development of the commercial software product, with overseeing other areas (internal corporate IT for 100+ staff).

About You

10+ years of progressive software development positions culminating in 5+ years of dev leadership, preferably in Fintech industries

Strong experience with Java / J2EE and AWS dev stack is preferred

Experience managing full stack development teams / scrums delivering custom developed software (desktop / mobile / web / cloud) - including full technical and HR management of the staff

Experience with all SDLC (agile and waterfall) including QA, CI / CD / devops, deployment, integration, hosting, security, MQ, etc.

Knowledge of Agile / Lean practices such as Scrum, Kanban, User Stories, Story Mapping, Story Point Estimation, TDD, ATDD, CI, CD etc.

Strong experience in technical leadership (design / architecture, code reviews, technical decisions, etc.)

Very good English communication skills

Ability to commute to Markham office 4 days per week

Salary Range

180,000 - $210,000 / year plus bonus and RRSP match
