Logistics Coordinator

Our client is searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the transport of raw materials and finished products to and from the third-party warehouses, blenders, manufacturing plants and the customers. A successful candidate will be flexible in complex, ambiguous and stressful situations.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

• Manage logistics operations, including freight forwarding via land, ocean and air
• Negotiate freight rates with freight forwards and freight brokers
• Consolidate freight shipments
• Issue DG classifications as per SDS and Issue Bills of Lading
• Prepare export documentation and coordinate container preparation
• Prepare import customs clearance with customs brokers and arrange drayage
• Assisting with label creation with the Procurement and Laboratory departments
• Organize your workflow to meet internal and external customer timeframes
• Collaborate with the Safety Representative to ensure safety protocols are being followed and support internal safety measures
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management
• Adhere to the company core values and build a positive company image internally and externally
• Other duties as assigned
