What will be your daily pursuit? : As an Ice Odyssey Driver Guide, you will contribute to making the Columbia Icefield Odyssey tour as memorable, entertaining and informative as possible for guests visiting from around the globe. As an Adventure Guide, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of coach buses and our unique off-road vehicles (Sherp and Ark) while delivering high-quality interpretive tour content both while operating the vehicle and outside the vehicle on the glacier.
What will your compensation be? : The starting wage for this position is $24.50.

What will you do in this job? :
Providing guests with a high-quality interpretative tour experience around the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca GlacierCoordinating guest arrival and while on tour to ensure they have the adventure of a lifetimeMechanical pre-trip / post-trip of assigned Coach, Ice Explorer and / or SherpResponsible for the safe and proper operation, care and upkeep of your daily assigned Coach / Ice Explorer / Sherp throughout the operating day includingDaily servicing / cleaning of the interior and exterior of assigned Coach / Ice Explorer / Sherp and assisting as required for exterior cleaning
Ensuring all windows are kept clear and clean throughout the operating dayAvoiding both physical and mechanical damage to the equipmentEnsuring passengers are not in areas where vehicles are moving and properly seated during the tourResponsible for safely loading and unloading passengers on your vehicle and being at the vehicle entrance at all times when passengers are loading / unloadingRotating cleaning schedule of the Transfer Bay area's, including washroom area and garbage clean up;Supporting colleagues and loading staff with additional interpretive information, managing tour groups, tour departures and arrivals, and the loading and unloading of Coaches / Ice Explorer / SherpCommunicate with co-workers and management, forwarding observations and comments in a timely fashionUphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employeesOther duties as assigned.What skills and experience do you need for this job? :
