HVAC Technician – Residential (New Construction or Service)

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced HVAC Technicians specializing in residential services for both new construction and service roles. The ideal candidates will have expertise in either new construction installations or service and maintenance of HVAC systems. Compensation and Benefits :
Competitive hourly rate : $35-45 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
Company-provided vehicle for Ottawa-based technicians to travel to job sites.
Hours : Typically 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
Starting bonus offered after the probationary period to incentivize performance and dedication.
Responsibilities :
For New Construction Technicians :
Install HVAC systems in newly constructed residential properties according to blueprints and specifications.
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of HVAC installations.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
For Service Technicians :
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot system issues to identify and implement effective solutions.
Conduct preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan and optimize the performance of HVAC equipment.
Educate customers on proper system operation, maintenance, and energy-saving practices.
Requirements :
Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with expertise in either new construction installations or residential service and maintenance.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems and components.
Valid HVAC technician certification or relevant trade qualifications.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
