The successful candidate

will be knowledgeable in the BC Curriculum, and Inquiry Method. The teacher will be part of a collaborative team, that plans and implements educational program based on Chief Atahm School Principles.Chief Atahm School continues to be a parent-operated school where staff, parents and elders work together to offer the best program possible that adheres to our school’s vision, philosophy and principles. The school has the capacity to develop Secwepemc language and land-based learning resources. Currently, the school has a strong outdoor education program that includes : mountain biking, cross country skiing and hiking. In addition, the grade 7 / 8 teacher has access to a fully equipped computer lab., where digital technology and projects can be explored.“The Chief Atahm School is grounded in the belief that knowledge of the language, traditional practices and beliefs of the Secwepemc will help develop a strong and healthy community. Students will be prepared for today’s world and will help to protect the earth for future generations.” This belief is supported by, integrating traditional practices across all grades, throughout the school year.
