Health & Physical Education Teacher

Contract - Short Term

Commencing in April 1, 2025 until end of June 2025

We are seeking a Health & Physical Education Teacher to teach Grade 9 to 12 to start at the beginning of April until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering an engaging curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being among students.

Who You Are :

Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in Physical and Health Education

Intermediate / Senior teaching qualifications

A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice

Teach students fundamental sports skills, fitness activities, and health concepts

Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback

Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset

Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment where all students feel motivated to participate

A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning

Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others

Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.
