Job Summary :

This senior-level Software Developer role requires a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale, multi-client web applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, leveraging a wide range of technologies and methodologies including Java, Oracle / SQL databases, REST APIs, React, TypeScript, and Agile principles. A strong understanding of architecture patterns, security protocols, and blockchain technology is also crucial. The role necessitates strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a large team on complex projects with aggressive deadlines.

Location : Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines (ETL processes).
  • Translate technical specifications into working applications, including coding, testing, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to software packages.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document applications.
  • Elicit and document information from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Participate in and contribute to Agile development methodologies.

Required Skills & Certifications :

  • 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer of large-scale multi-client web applications.
  • 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with REST APIs, React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and NodeJS.
  • Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
  • Experience using information retrieval packages and query languages.
  • Experience with one or more communications protocols.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.

    • Preferred Skills & Certifications :

  • Experience with RXJS, NextJS, and VueJS.
  • Proven experience with WCAG and AODA.
  • Experience with responsive web application development.
  • Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL Certificates).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Object-oriented coding practices, including design patterns, refactoring, and clean code.
  • Knowledge of major architecture styles (message-oriented, reactive, event-based).
  • Knowledge and experience with blockchain and smart contract development (Solidity).
  • Basic knowledge of cryptography.
  • Public sector experience.
