We are looking for an experienced, Distribution Director, to support our growing business. Reporting directly to our VP of Finance & Distribution, will oversee all aspects of development from concept to commercialization of new bakery products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of food science, and a passion for innovation.

The "Recipe" - Job Essentials

• Overseeing operations across up to 4+ plants, managing a team of 4 direct reports and a total of 50 employees
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse performance, productivity, and quality control, and implementing improvements as needed.
• Developing and executing supply chain strategies that align with business objectives, driving efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
• Oversee distribution network which involves managing third party logistics along with building and nurturing relationships with brokers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Managing vendor relationships for warehouse equipment, services, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely service. (maybe similar to the above)
• Working with other managers to develop strategies that align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in supply chain operations.
• Monitoring and controlling costs associated with procurement, production, transportation, and other supply chain activities.
• Oversee the flow of materials through the supply chain by arranging for transportation, warehousing, and other services
• Developing a network of suppliers to ensure that the company always has access to the materials it needs at competitive prices.
• Leading the development and execution of warehouse procedures, policies, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensuring that all suppliers meet minimum quality standards for their products.
• Building a strong team of warehouse staff, ensure proper training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in operations while fostering growth, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Managing the overall distribution of products to ensure timely delivery to customers while minimizing costs.
• Leading warehouse operations with expertise in forklift maintenance, developing and implementing strategies to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency across all warehouse functions.
• Leading the development and execution of warehouse procedures, policies, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
