CAA Saskatchewan requires a digital business leader that can leverage data to drive acquisition of new business through digital channels. Reporting to the CEO, this leadership role is part of the Information Technology team with responsibility to manage two teams : Business Intelligence and e-Commerce. Our ideal candidate will chart a course for business growth by developing strategic roadmaps for both of these functions. CAA Saskatchewan is a diversified business and this role will partner with the GMs of the Membership, Insurance and Travel business lines to facilitate digital strategies for growing each business.

Key Job Responsibilities

e-Commerce

  • Drive and implement and end-to-end e-commerce strategy and roadmap that increases digital business volumes and improve efficiency of web channel performance.
  • Develop a team of web specialists and developers, assessing both insourcing and outsourcing options.
  • Lead e-commerce operations including technology stack, performance metrics and production support.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement data-driven approaches to drive revenue growth, improve web conversion, and optimize the customer experience.
  • Foster collaboration with internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations and Finance) as well as external relationships (agencies, vendors, and service providers) to drive cohesive digital strategies.

Analytics

  • Lead a diverse team of in-house data analytics resources to deliver quality analysis, interpretation of findings and clear articulation of results and insights to internal business stakeholder partners.
  • Lead the development of data strategy and AI strategy.
  • Partner with business leads to understand the data and analytics requirements and apply data-driven insights to grow business.
  • Assess the state of the organization's data & analytics; benchmark against market and perform gap analysis to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the architecture, development, and management of data warehouses integrating numerous, disparate primary and secondary data sources.
  • Support new technology implementation with ongoing data management and system administration needs including Data Governance and AI / ML.
  • Drive and tailor adoption of data strategy, standards, governance, and culture program; shape approach in a manner that is sensitive to organizational dynamics and culture.
  • Experience & Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree. MBA is an asset.
  • 5+ years’ management experience required with demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high performing teams and building successful relationships with stakeholders.
  • 10+ years in the fields of e-commerce and data.
  • Proven experience in translating business needs into data requirements and applying business intelligence to solve business problems.
  • Proven track record of driving e-commerce growth, improving conversion rates and managing high-impact digital strategies.
  • Proven experience in coaching, mentoring and developing employees to maximize their potential.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, thrives in fast-paced environments, and takes a hands-on approach.
