Truck and Coach Technician / Mechanic

Location : Winnipeg, MB

Employment Type : Permanent, Full Time

Shift : Monday to Friday, 7 : 00am to 4 : 00pm

Summary :

The Heavy Equipment Technician will perform mechanical repairs, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and PDIs on a variety of equipment that is represented by JJE in a timely and effective manner.

This incumbent will be focused on Welding and fabrication in the service shop.

Signing Bonus :

2,500.00 if 310T or 421A Licensed
1000.00 if 310T or 421A Apprentices

About You :

Position Requirements :

Journeyman technician or mechanic

2+ years’ experience working in a shop environment with welding and fabrication

Valid Driver’s License with Clean Abstract

Experienced with hydraulic and / or electrical work an asset

Position Responsibilities :

Perform trouble shooting, mechanical repairs and PDIs (pre-delivery inspections) on a variety of heavy equipment represented by JJE

Conduct repairs in a timely and effective manner, communicating effectively with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure optimal efficiency

Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections

Communicate with Lead Hand and / or Service Manager regarding job progress and job status changes

Maintain organized and safe work area and shop tools
