Reclamation Specialist – Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta

Our Edmonton or Calgary office is currently seeking a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent Reclamation Specialist to join our team!

The successful candidate should have the following :

Qualifications :

• 10+ years of experience in Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), detailed site assessments (DSAs), reclamation certification applications (rec certs) and reporting.
• Experience in land conservation, reclamation and remediation in Alberta and Saskatchewan is required. Specific experience with planning, decommissioning, remediation, reclamation, site assessment, and regulatory applications through Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) OneStop portal is considered mandatory.
• Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Natural or Soil Sciences or Technical Diploma in an Environmental discipline.
• Regulatory criteria and guidelines within Alberta and Saskatchewan, wetland assessments (considered an asset), soil classification and description.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
• Professional status or eligibility for professional status with APEGA, AIA, ASET, or ASPB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex environmental challenges.
• Physical requirements : Ability to conduct fieldwork, including site inspections and monitoring, which may involve walking over rough terrain and working in various weather conditions.
