Description de poste

Project Manager

Our client is searching for a Project Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle — from initiation and planning through execution and close-out. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in multi-family residential construction and a proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality while fostering a culture of safety and accountability. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring collaboration across internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

  • Lead the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments and external contractors on multi-family residential developments, including townhomes and low-rise strata projects
  • Contribute to early-stage project planning, including due diligence, entitlements, permitting, budgeting, and design development
  • Manage the permitting process post-development permit, ensuring timely acquisition of building permits, servicing agreements, and required documentation for project launch and occupancy
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive scopes of work that accurately reflect project requirements and minimize risk of errors or omissions
  • Oversee trade selection and contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with project goals and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Administer trade and supplier invoicing, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and scopes of work
  • Monitor and report on project performance using KPIs, including cost forecasting, scheduling, safety, and profitability metrics
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain project momentum
  • Ensure seamless project handover to property management, including all required documentation, permits, and warranties
  • Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all legislative and organizational safety standards and practices
  • Represent the organization professionally in meetings, site visits, and industry events

Your strengths include :

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience in multi-family, wood-frame construction (up to 6 stories)
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Building Code, Condominium Property Act, and warranty legislation
  • Experience in estimating, design development, and construction, with an understanding of sales, marketing, and customer care
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Homefront, BuildPro, and Microsoft Office (including MS Project, Word, and Excel)
  • PMP certification and industry leadership experience are considered assets
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects from start to finish, balancing competing priorities and risks
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
