Mechanical Engineer

Millar Western is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our engineering team in the key role of Mechanical Engineer for our Whitecourt, Alberta BCTMP Mill. This individual will apply their engineering skills to all areas of the mill. Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : structural, pump and piping design throughout the mill; coordinating and ensuring completion of projects; root cause failure analysis, and designing out reliability issues.

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will possess a Mechanical Engineering degree with approximately 7-12 years of experience in an industrial setting. They must be proficient in AutoCAD 3D, will have experience working with contractors and field installations, and be eligible for an APEGGA membership as a P. Eng. Experience in Mechanical Maintenance and working knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3, and CSA B149 Codes and Standards will be considered assets.
