Your Position & How You Will Contribute :

Based in York Region in a hybrid working environment – Reporting to the SMB Planning Manager, The FTTx Designer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the implementation of fiber optic networks to Business, MDU and residential areas. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including project managers, field technicians, and external contractors, to ensure the successful deployment of FTTx infrastructure. In this highly dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in your career and within the organization.

Responsibilities & Key Duties include :

Network Design and Planning

• Design FTTx networks, including fiber routes, distribution, and drop points.
• Create detailed network design maps using GIS and CAD software.
• Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility and gather necessary data for design.
• Generate and provide detailed quotes for business clients and MDUs based on specific customer needs and requirements.
