Ottawa Festival NetworkStrathcona Park, 25 Range RdJoin our production team this summer as we celebrate our 38th season as Ottawa’s premiere open-air theatre. Our Theatre Under the Stars series transforms Ottawa’s beautiful Strathcona Park into a theatre venue along the banks of the Rideau River that attracts thousands each year.
From August 12-18, , CREATE! will provide opportunities for professional artists, theatre enthusiasts and newcomers to work together. The new series will feature theatre, dance, mask and puppet-making, crafts, processions, story-telling and other arts events designed to encourage the participation of artists, youth, volunteers and the public in a celebration of the arts.
We are hiring a Theatre Technician for our summer season. You will work closely with the Technical Director and Stage Manager as a key member of our production team and be responsible to assist with :
- Technical set-up and strike;
- Attending technical and dress rehearsals;
- Operating the lighting and / or sound for performances;
- Maintaining technical equipment;
- Troubleshooting and fixing problems if they arise; and
- Assisting with the strike at the end of the run.
A valid driver’s licence is required. Access to a vehicle is an asset. First aid training and working safely at heights training are assets. Experience with Q-Lab is required.
