As the Senior Manager, Commercial and Farm pricing, you will be responsible for assessing the overall profitability of the various commercial and farm portfolios for CGIC and Sovereign. You will also influence the profitability aspect in financial planning as well as exercise influence and collaborate with other pricing teams, external consultants and other business units. This role is highly influential in the reviews of large accounts, programs and MGAs including Federated, occasionally participating in discussions with clients. You will demonstrate vision and resourcefulness in developing stochastic analyses but also in incorporating business needs and market forces in line with corporative strategy. Rigorous mind, efficiency and storytelling are strengths required for this position.
How you will create impact :
Develop, maintain and / or improve our pricing models efficiently taking into account the realities of the region.
Conduct, plan and organize project developments or pricing reviews while assuming the leadership team.
Maintain a good overall knowledge of the company (Product and Underwriting, Distribution, Research, Marketing, Finance and Claims) to effectively communicate the results to different target business units.
Contribute to the maintenance of updating of actuarial controls for CEO / CFO Certification.
Contribute to the annual planning process by providing information on rates, loss trends, eligible loss ratios and other changes.
Respond to external actuarial information requests related to pricing.
Oversee the selection and development of highly skilled, efficient and committed team members. Develop and train staff and create a positive and motivating work environment.

To join our team :
You hold a university degree in Actuarial science (an asset) or Mathematics.
Holding the ACAS or FCAS designation is an asset.
Having seven years of experience in property and casualty insurance is preferred.
You have good knowledge of computer software and tools (R, Python, SQL).
- This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
