Join Our Team as an Export Merchant in the agriculture industry at The Andersons' Chatham, ON Office!

Position Overview :

This position is responsible for sales, marketing, contracting, logistics, as well as managing administrative functions relating to the soybean division.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and manage the selling activities for soybeans. Assist with establishing a strategic direction and focus for sales efforts to ensure that The Andersons Canada grows and maintains a profitable position in the dry bean industry
• Determine supply and demand, survey market conditions, and analyze other economic forces in order to establish position in the market
• Initiate, negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase / sale contracts, such as price, quality, quantity, transportation, timing and payment
• Develop and support strong relationships with both current and new customers; educate and encourage utilization of all facilities & services; form value added customer partnerships to maximize joint profitability.
• Arrange efficient transportation of commodities
• Ensure thorough and accurate follow-up, execution, and closure to all contracts
• Maintain regular customer communication to build and grow customer relationships
