The Position
The Executive Director, BC, Child and Family Services is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position oversees the daily operations, strategic planning, and development of Taproot’s child and family services sector across British Columbia. The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in advancing organizational goals, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
This role also involves fostering leadership development, navigating operational challenges, and driving growth opportunities through innovative strategies and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee program development and ensure compliance with agency policies, contracts, and accreditation standards.
- Identify growth opportunities, including new funding sources and program expansions, while ensuring team readiness to execute strategic initiatives effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually, with the potential for an annual bonus. This range is based on market benchmarks and may vary depending on the candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
The role includes a comprehensive benefits package, which features a defined benefit pension plan and employer-paid benefits. Vacation entitlement starts at four weeks annually.
