Our client, a healthcare provider in Northern Ontario , is seeking an Acute / ER Nurse Manager to lead their Acute Care (AC), Emergency Department (ER), Telemedicine Department (OTN), and Pharmacy Department.
About the Role
As the Acute / ER Nurse Manager , you will play a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality patient care across multiple departments. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring resources are used effectively, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and Best Practice Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Leadership : Manage and oversee the daily operations of Acute Care, ER, OTN, and Pharmacy.
- Staff Supervision : Lead a team of nursing and pharmacy staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
- Patient Care Standards : Ensure holistic and integrated patient care that aligns with quality and safety standards.
- Resource & Budget Management : Monitor departmental budgets, staffing levels, and supply inventory to optimize efficiency.
- Compliance & Best Practices : Uphold healthcare regulations, workplace policies, and professional standards.
