Job Title : Environmental Health & Safety Manager (EH&S Manager) Job Summary :  GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking a dedicated EH&S Manager to lead workplace safety initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations, minimize risks, and foster a zero-accident culture. The EH&S Manager will work closely with management, employees, and external stakeholders to maintain high safety standards in all operations. Location : Toronto, ON Starting Rate :  $45 / hr depending on experience GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is a proudly Indigenous-owned staffing company dedicated to creating long-term sustainable employment opportunities for Indigenous people across Canada.  Key Responsibilities :   Health & Safety Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal and provincial safety regulations . Conduct hazard assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies. Ensure COR registration and ISO 45001 certification processes are met and maintained. Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective actions. Environmental Compliance & Reporting Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental public policies related to soil disposal, water management, and other environmental regulations. Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits to identify improvement opportunities. Provide regular compliance reports and recommendations to management. Training & Employee Engagement Ensure all employees complete required safety training and maintain up-to-date training records. Work with external vendors and training providers to source the best safety and wellness programs. Actively participate in Joint Health and Safety Committees and communicate safety standards across the organization. Regulatory & Prequalification Management Keep prequalification platforms (e.g., ISNetworld, Browz) up to date with required documentation. Stay informed about changing industry safety regulations and best practices, ensuring company-wide compliance. Requirements :   Strong knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety laws and regulations. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EH&S management in construction, oil & gas, or industrial environments. Environmental Professional (EP) and NCSO certifications required. Additional certification in Quality Assurance is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software. Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills to effectively engage employees and management.
