CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant (Entry level- Training Provided) t o join our CareRx Lower Mainland Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Role Accountabilities :
- Ensure precise record-keeping and prescriptioninformation from nursing staff is filled via dispensary software
- Prepare medication for compliance packagingand maintain workflow for receiving and processing prescriptions within timelines.
- Assist with pharmacy inventory management and potentially operate automated dispensing machine (PacMed)for processing and filling prescriptions
- Manage returns and expired products from nursing homes, includingunpacking, sorting and disposal of medications
- Preparing creams and liquids, and generatedaily and weekly production reports
- Maintain stock levels, reorder medications, and prepare both manual and automated compliance packaging.
Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment

Compensation Range : $19 - $21 / hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location : This is on-site role at our 8525-8501 Commerce Crt, Burnaby V5A4N3 location and follows a five-day workweek with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
