About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Level 4 Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll work alongside licensed electricians to support complex electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in both residential and commercial buildings. We provide steady, year-round work, making this role ideal for a Level 4 electrical apprentice looking to keep their hours consistent, refine their skills, and successfully transition toward earning their journeyperson ticket. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, solid technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or collaborate effectively on team projects.

Why Nitro Electric?

At Nitro Electric, we don't just offer a job—we offer a collaborative environment where you can truly build your career. Here is what sets us apart:

  • Year-Round Work: No seasonal layoffs. We provide a steady, predictable schedule with consistent hours all 12 months of the year.
  • 100% Internal Work: We manage all of our projects in-house, giving you a stable work environment without the unpredictability of external subcontracting.
  • A Unified Team Goal: Because we focus entirely on internal projects, our team works closely together toward the exact same mission, fostering true teamwork and shared success.
  • Great Company Culture: We believe work should be rewarding. We support each other on the job site and celebrate our successes together during regular company events and team outings.
  • Fantastic Perks: We take care of our people. As a member of our team, you will have access to exclusive apartment discounts to help support your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to understand project requirements.
  • Help with installing low-voltage systems as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex electrical issues and completing repairs under supervision.
  • Ensure tools and materials are properly put away and stored to maintain an organized job site.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress.
  • Perform basic electrical testing using meters and diagnostic tools under supervision.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working as an advanced electrical apprentice in residential or commercial settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage systems is considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of job site safety practices.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to complete your apprentice hours and advance in the electrical trade.

What You’ll Need

  • A valid Manitoba license and a reliable vehicle to get to job sites.
  • Current registration as a Level 4 electrical apprentice.
