The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority EMS Division is looking for ambitious and enthusiastic team members to provide a high-level of patient care in a vast and diverse region of Northeast Alberta.

BRFA casual members have the option to choose from 12-hour Day / Night or Coreflex shifts, with an extensive fatigue management program for Coreflex rotations. Accommodations are available onsite to members travelling from out of town, at no cost.

Our EMS Division offers a supporting team environment that values a collaborative, respectful and enjoyable workplace. The BRFA has an established robust mental health support program focused on developing and fostering sustainable mental health practices for long and healthy careers for first responders. Core Duties and Responsibilities :

Provide ground ambulance service to the partner municipalities, oilfield, and surrounding areas.
Transfer patients from Bonnyville Health Centre to tertiary care.
Maintain inventory and cleanliness of equipment, vehicles, and building.
Adhere to BRFA Policies and Procedures.

Certifications, Licenses and / or Designations :

Unrestricted Advance Care Paramedic (ACP) currently registered in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) in the Province of Alberta.

Unrestricted valid Class 4 operators license with clean drivers abstract.

CPR certificate for Health Care Provider.

Assets

test or equivalent.

ACLS, PALS and ITLS certifications.

Professional Driver’s Improvement Course or equivalent.

AHS MCP Certification

Hours of work : A Coreflex shift shall consist of 12 hours at the basic rate of pay plus 12 hours on-call pay; a regular shift consists of 12 hours.

Wages : Range from $ to $ based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package available upon completion of probationary period.

BRFA EMS Division staff are currently represented by Health Sciences Association of Alberta. The Collective Agreement is available on the HSAA website.
