Description de poste
If you are a mechanically minded problem-solver, we want to hear from you.
We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for a progressive, 125,000 sq. ft. automated flat glass manufacturing facility in Langley, BC. This role offers an ideal blend of technical challenge and growth—working directly on high-speed glass fabrication lines, custom CNC machinery, double/triple-pane IGU assembly equipment, and safety-tempering systems. You will join a safety-first team focused on advanced diagnostics, machinery installs, and minimizing operational downtime.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a sharp technician with strong mechanical diagnostic skills—ideally with Millwright experience and 3+ years in manufacturing. You bring proven hands-on expertise to independently service core industrial equipment (motors, pumps, valves, hoists, compressors, conveyors) and are fully proficient with shop hand tools without supervision.

Because our facility relies on advanced automation, practical experience with CNC machinery, PLCs, VFDs, and servos is essential (electrical knowledge is a strong plus). We need a self-directed problem solver who prioritizes safety, drives continuous improvement, and offers shift flexibility to assist with vacation or training coverage when needed.

Role Details:
Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Langley, BC
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday
Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (nightshift)
Compensation: $40.00–$45.00/hour + $3.50 night shift premium
Application Requirement: Candidates required to currently reside within British Columbia and hold valid legal eligibility to work full-time in Canada to be considered for this position.
Relocation applicants will not be reviewed at this time.

Advantages
-Permanent fulltime opportunity + overtime
-Located in Langley, BC
-Company-matched RSP program (starting at 2%, increasing to 4% after 4 years)
-100% company-paid health and dental benefits after 6 months (excluding LTD)
-Certified safe work environment (OSSE)
-Annual allowances for jeans ($150) and steel-toe boots ($100)
-Paid sick days
-Employee appreciation events and referral program
-Supportive team and positive workplace culture
-A vibrant company culture that fosters career longevity and growth

Responsibilities
-Perform advanced mechanical diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on high-speed production lines, CNC machinery, and IGU assembly equipment.
-Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, and electrical prints to execute precise repairs and installs.
-Troubleshoot, adjust, and service core industrial components, including motors, pumps, valves, hoists, compressors, cylinders, and conveyors.
-Work with automated control systems—isolating and resolving issues related to PLCs, VFDs, servos, and automated glass fabrication equipment.
-Inspect machinery for operational irregularities, safely replacing defective parts and fabricating custom components using shop machine tools as needed.
-Ensure all equipment safety devices, guards, and interlocks are fully functional post-repair, adhering strictly to safety standards.
-Maintain clear service logs, complete work orders, and perform routine machinery cleaning and lubrication to maximize equipment uptime.

Qualifications
-Experience: Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Millwright experience or trade background preferred).
-Technical & Mechanical Expertise: Strong, proven troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience servicing motors, pumps, valves, hoists, compressors, cylinders, and conveyors.
-Automation Knowledge: Practical exposure to automated equipment, including CNC machinery, PLCs, VFDs, and servos; basic electrical troubleshooting skills are a strong asset.
-Tool & Safety Proficiency: Fully confident using precision measuring devices and basic shop hand tools independently, with a safety-first mindset and solid understanding of machine safety standards.
-Work Style & Flexibility: Ability to work self-directed under tight deadlines, communicate effectively, and maintain flexibility to cover various shifts (e.g., vacation/training support) when needed.
-Physical Requirements: Capable of standing, reaching, and kneeling for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working safely in a physically demanding plant environment using required PPE.
