Automotive Technician – Hyundai / Kia Specialist

Location: Western Canada

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $28 – $50 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Automotive Technicians with a background in Hyundai and/or Kia vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, dealership experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume service environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Hyundai and Kia vehicles
Use OEM diagnostic tools such as GDS (Hyundai/Kia Global Diagnostic System)
Conduct inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer standards
Maintain accurate service documentation and repair orders
Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure workflow efficiency

Requirements

3+ years of experience working on Hyundai and/or Kia vehicles
Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC systems
Experience with OEM scan tools (GDS experience preferred)
Ability to diagnose complex issues (CAN bus, sensors, modules)
Valid driver’s license
English communication skills (verbal and written)

Assets (Preferred)

Hyundai / Kia dealership experience
Manufacturer training or certifications
Experience with hybrid or EV systems (, Hyundai/Kia electric platforms)
