Description de poste

Job Description

As a Senior Cloud / DevOps Specialist, you take ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platform solutions with a high degree of autonomy. You make independent technical decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational standards and SRE goals.

In this role, you lead complex projects, drive improvements in infrastructure, observability, and operational processes, and mentor team members. You collaborate with architects, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet both business and operational requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Leadership: Independently design and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Platform Standardization: Define and evolve standards, guidelines, and best practices for cloud deployments and architecture patterns.

  • Reliability Excellence: Establish monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and error budgets to ensure system performance and operational health.

  • Technical Assessment: Evaluate and advise on new technologies, procurement options, and architectural proposals to align with SRE goals.

  • Resource Optimization: Review resource usage and implement cost optimization practices and FinOps initiatives across teams.

  • Team Mentorship: Support and guide team members, sharing best practices to build technical competence across the collective.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in processes or tooling and propose actionable solutions to improve platform efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or related technical fields.

  • Proven hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, Ansible, etc.

  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, and deployment strategies for complex systems.

  • Strong understanding of networking, RBAC, security best practices, and cloud architecture patterns.

  • Proficiency with observability tools such as ELK, Azure Monitor, or equivalent, and operational excellence practices.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, etc.) for complex system deployments.

  • Ability to make independent technical decisions while balancing technical debt and high-quality solution delivery.

  • Advanced proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, .Net, or similar.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in both French and English.

Working conditions:

  • Contract: Permanent, full time (40h/week)

  • Working mode: Hybrid or remote

    • Occasional in-office presence may be required during the year (for events or team meetings, for example).

    • Candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.
